Moisture is already sheering off Tropical Storm Lorena and moving northwest into Southeast Arizona. The combination of increased moisture and instability will bring widespread showers and thunderstorms to the region today. Some locally strong to severe producing flash flooding rains, and possible dust storms, travelers should be advised of the changing weather conditions. Temperatures will cool with highs in the 80s to lower 90s. Moisture will continue to stream northward into the area Friday and Saturday with showers and thunderstorms likely. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for much of Arizona through Saturday where storms will continue to produce very heavy rain, strong damaging winds, frequent lightning, and hail. The remnants or Lorena will move east of the area by Sunday as a drier southwest flow develops. This will dry through out through next week with near-normal temperatures.
